It also serves as the proof of bicycle owner. The applicants should submit the completed registration form with a color photo of bicycle to SFS. After completion of registration, a permit will be placed on your bicycle for identification.

Handling discarded or improperly parked bicycles

In order to maintain the orderliness of campus environment, make good use of resources, and avoid public space occupancy and safety hazard caused by discarded bicycles, the clean-up program towards those discarded and improperly parked bicycles throughout the campus is to be carried out.

Samples are:

  • Lack of bicycle accessories, for instance, handlebars, saddles, tires etc.
  • Chains broken, severely rusty or other conditions not suitable for future use.
  • Improperly parked in places such as pavements, corridors, space under stairs, indoors, fire exits etc.

Owners can visit the Security Centre (E7-G003c) during office hours (Mondays to Fridays, 9:00am – 1:00pm, 2:00pm – 5:45pm) to make an inquiry or claim bicycles by presenting a valid bicycle receipt, photo, bicycle permit number and the right keys to the bicycle locks. If the impounded bicycles are not claimed for over a year, they will be processed as lost items.

Voluntarily Recycled Bicycles

The bicycle owners could complete the registration form for voluntary bicycle disposal in Security Centre (E7-G003c) in office hours. Meanwhile, interested parties for re-using recycled bicycles could raise their request or make the reservation by calling +853 8822 4126 for query or further arrangement.
